Joplin Lost & Found

Joplin, MO (June 11, 2011) The Salvation Army Lost & Found located on the corner of 26th & Main at The Salvation Army Oasis is now open daily. Joplin residents can drop off items they find of individuals affected by the May 22 tornado. The Salvation Army Lost & Found is a place where the community can come and bring lost family items to be reunited with owners.

“As recovery and clean up continues individuals will find in the tornado debris precious family photos and heirlooms of their neighbors. We’re asking individuals to bring those found items such as Bible’s, trophies, awards and other personal items of value to The Salvation Army Lost & Found,” said Captain Jason Poff, Joplin Salvation Army Worship & Community Center officer. The Salvation Army Lost & Found is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Other Emergency Disaster Services Ongoing in Joplin:

The Salvation Army is partnering with HOPE Station to provide hope to the Joplin community. This will be a 5 week event which will include music, art, food, worship and opportunities for people to share their stories of hope. The campaign now in progress and is also held at the Salvation Army’s Oasis off 26th and Main. Included is a nightly dinner, live music, a kid’s station with donated toys, guest speakers, and more.
