What could bring together Miss Missouri, Project Runway stars and an Alderwoman? A good cause.
On March 22, 300 people attended the Glamour and Fantasy Spring Fashion Show presented by The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of St. Louis.
Attendees were treated to a Silent Auction and Luncheon while at the event. Laura Kathleen, St. Louis native and finalist on the ninth season of Project Runway, hosted the event. A.J. Thouvenot and Michael Drummond, both of Project Runway Season 8, showed off their designs.
Other celebrity models included Lois Evans and Karen Boyle of Lindenwood University, Debra Bass of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Carol Lundstrom of the Women’s Auxiliary, Jan Leach Givens of St. Louis Magazine, and Melanie Moon of Fox 2 St. Louis. Alderwoman Donna Baringer, Miss Nebraska Ellie Lorenzen and Miss Missouri Ellie Holtman also took the runway.
The Women’s Auxiliary works with the Adult Rehabilitation Center, Cadet Assistance, Camp Mihaska, Community Centers / Corps, Correctional Services and Directors, Family Haven, Community in Partnership, Harbor Light Center, the Katherine I. Agnew Heart to Hand Fund, Community Care Ministries, Seasonal and Emergency Services, Transitional Housing, and the Work Shop.
A special thank you to Lindenwood University, the Lindenwood Fashion Design Department, West Model and Talent Management, Cary O’ Brien’s Designs and Color Spa, and Steven J. Jeffery.
